      HR Generalist Interview

      16 Jun 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Berlin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rocycle (Berlin)

      Interview

The initial process after applying was fast, close to scary/desperate approach. Nice first phone interview but, not many details about the job, so it was treated as a 'get to know'. In-person was scheduled for 2 days after but, then changed, due to scheduling conflict. Squeezed in for the next day. After speaking with the Lead Ops in-person the next day, all I thought was true. They are far from aware what the best practices are and/or should be. I was also advised I'd be jumping into lots of fires. That's the last thing any position wants to hear and definitely not HR. Even after advising them about the minimum wage updates, that's very far from what they pay their current employees. Seems they want to pay the ultimate minimum to keep talent. Work a lot, but for very little. I was given free classes from headquarters to attend a studio class, so I did and what an experience that was. Here it was clear what they meant. They have no idea of how to connect with all of the company's associates/staff. The disconnect was clear and also the fake motivation is clear to me. I'm also unsure about best practices being used during normal times and with a pandemic, it's a place I'd never attend again or a company for me. I didn't hear from them until I reached out and was told unforseen circumstances pushes off an answer. They pushed off for no offer.
