I want to let it be known that this was the most degrading and irresponsible interview process of my entire career.
Started with 3 virtual rounds and then was asked to complete an assignment that I would present IRL to a group and the CEO.
The day before I was going to present to the group and CEO of the company, I was connected to an HR rep who worked across Penske and made it clear that they were upset that they were no longer a part of the RS division. The recruiter was not aware of competitive youth culture media and also made it clear that they thought I was not senior enough for the role - and flagged that to the hiring manager.
At 9PM the night before a 10 AM panel interview w the CEO I received an email from the hiring manager questioning my experience . On my way to the IRL interview, the hiring manager emailed me 10 minutes before the meeting saying "the CEO wouldn't be joining" still had me tap dance and present to the group and then I never heard from them again. This was in person the week before xmas btw.
Also on my way to the interview the hiring manager texted me multiple times (took my cell phone number from my signature I guess?) asking my ETA, never gave an office address of check in instructions, never gave me a floor number and didn't walk me out afterwards - just knew how to get there from friends working at the company.
This is really the dream team at Rolling Stone I guess, lol
The team should be ashamed. The industry is connected.
