Jörg here; I’m the CTO and one of the founders. First and foremost, I’m truly sorry for how your interview process unfolded. You’re absolutely right—while you applied for a backend role, we thought your experience with data could make you an even better fit for one of our data teams. But we failed to communicate that properly, and I completely understand why that was frustrating. That’s on us, and I take full responsibility.
You should have been clearly informed about the structure of each interview, and I deeply regret that you were caught off guard with technical questions when you were expecting a cultural fit conversation. That was my mistake—I didn’t communicate properly with the team, and I can only imagine how unfair and frustrating that must have felt.
I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. It’s feedback like this that helps us improve, and we’re actively working on making our process clearer, more transparent, and more respectful of candidates’ time. Again, I sincerely apologize for how this played out, and I wish you all the best in your job search.
Best,
Jörg
