Well, I filled out the application online it took about 1 hour to fill out the application and the required (weird) quiz which was fine. Moments after I received an email saying that they have received my application and will review it. Before I can even finish reading the email, another one from ross comes in. This email says that I am currently not the correct fit for that role, which according to the parameters that they set I thought I was, and they would keep my application on file for future roles. Well, this experience with an automated artificial intelligence review of my application was, in my opinion negative, I don't mind if they don't want to hire me because they don't like my personality or I am not a good fit for that store or whatever the case may be, but the fact that I don't even get a phone call from a human saying sorry but no is simply rude and a waste of everyone's time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you came across someone who was stealing merchandise how would you handle it
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
