I was recruited through LinkedIn. I did a preliminary phone interview. It went well, I was told the pay, and I was pushed into the next in person interview. It was very underwhelming, and they showed me around the office where I actually saw the names of the other candidates on their desks. Pretty unprofessional.
The only women working there were the CEO's wife and a secretary. I "passed" that interview, and I was supposed to have a meeting with the CEO. He didn't make it to his own meeting. I was waiting for over half an hour. He called to reschedule, and I did, only to have the most insulting interview possible. After wasting my time, and going through all these interviews, they slap the $15 an hour for this position on me. That's not what I was told, I tell them, then the recruiter that had told me, LIES and says he never told me an amount for pay. What a joke. I told them I would think about it, and they told me they would reconsider the pay. I didn't hear from them for over three days. In that timeframe my grandmother died. I tried calling them over 3 times to rescind my offer and withdraw. No one could get back to me. Then as if wasting my time and losing my grandparent wasn't enough with the blatant disrespect, they finally reach out the next week telling me I didn't get the job. As if I would ever work for such a dysfunctional company. Such a joke.
