I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SHI International (Piscataway, NJ) in Mar 2019
Interview
It was quick and pretty easy. The person on maternity leave actually interviewed me. The building was beautiful and everyone seemed to keep to themselves. I believe that the area itself is high security., you need a badge to punch in at the door outside.
I was emailed by a Talent Acquisition Specialist and a phone screen was scheduled. This was a long time ago. She was rude and unprofessional. The interviewer didn't want to be there. She was reading the job description and facts about the company very fast to get it over with. She would also stop in the middle of it, and ask me a question about what she had said as if she was trying to be tough. She mentioned that I had applied to a few other jobs at SHI in the past in my job portal, which I found to be unprofessional. I've never had another recruiter say that. She was asking me stupid questions, such as why this would be the perfect job for me, when at the time it paid less than $35k. When I asked some questions, she was rude and gave short answers. Maybe if she wasn't reading the information so fast at the beginning, I would have heard what she said. Then at the end, she said she'd talk to the manager. I never received a follow-up.

The interview was a very casual conversation and gave me a better understanding of the role and team structure. The interviewer was transparent, took the time to explain the position in detail, and answered questions clearly. While the conversation was helpful and informative, I came away feeling that the role was not quite what I was looking for based on my own interests and goals. Overall, it was a positive experience and the interviewer was professional, open, and easy to talk to.
Thank you for providing feedback. We are happy to hear you had a positive interview experience, and we wish you the best of luck with your future career aspirations.
Straightforward 2 part interview process with HR & then Manager of team. The first part with HR was essentially a screening to see if you would be a great fit for the team. With the general manager it was more technical with hypothetical questions surrounding projects that the team had worked on in the past.
