Question 1
Explain how your experience fits in with the job requirement?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at SNAP Financial (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2018
Interview
Had 1st round with newly appointed CIO, 2nd with COO & development lead from Vendor, and 3rd was a surprise - CIO and IT team. It was a six week slow process. CIO mentioned that it's just a discussion but the team had business analysts and QAs that were quiet junior and asked very basic technical questions. For the first 2 rounds Didn't understood why CIO was so indecisive and had to take consensus from his team who would be ultimately reporting to selected candidate. I understand being new to the position, he had to consult with his manager. However, I did get feedback that the organization liked my profile but went with more relevant profile. But from then till now, I am keeping track on the organization only to find that that's not the case and they had promoted a existing QA to the role. Certainly, it makes sense to promote and hire people internally but taking weeks, being indecisive and incorrect feedback doesn't make any sense.
It's a great interview experience. The technical recruiter is nice and we talked about the work experiences, the expectation on the environment. What's the most important thing for me at work. Then the location and my salary expectation.
