The interview process raised several concerns. I was asked to be “discreet” and refer to the interview as a “meeting” because they planned to replace the current employee due to performance issues. That already felt unprofessional.
After the interview, the company told the recruiter they were ready to move forward with me and to expect an offer letter. The recruiter reached out multiple times for confirmation and was ignored for nearly a week. When they finally responded, I was told the offer letter would be sent on Friday.
Instead of receiving the offer, I was later told they changed their mind because they decided to interview someone else and went with that person instead. The sudden reversal after confirming everything came across as disorganized, inconsistent, and unprofessional.
I’m glad I found out before accepting a role in an environment that operates this way.
