I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SaaS Markets
Interview
Well-organized, and fair in terms of the technical and design interviews. There were three different rounds of interviews, including with the Vice President of Engineering. I felt that my skill level in Jquery/Javascript, and working with JSON data and API calls to a backend platform were adequately evaluated.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SaaS Markets (San Mateo, CA)
Interview
I had about 5 or so people interview me for the position (including phone and in person). No real questions just more getting to understand who I was and if I had enough experience for the position.
They couldnt really explain their revenue model and how the company was making money. Just that it's a billion dollar industry and the company was going to grow. Since they don;t charge for their product and have few partnerships in place with app providers yet for income model, it seemed a little skeptical. I also wondered why another company would want an app store in the first place?
I also asked how many apps need to be sold in order to be profitable. No one could really answer that. They also didn't knw how many apps they had sold to date. So, that was a red flag for me too.
Equity was not an option for employees. But, said it would be in future. so that was a plus when the company brings in revenue.
Since the company has not had any paying customers in its existence, i was a bit skeptical on life of company. Might be a bit of a red flag?
I also asked about comp and benefits. Seemed to be sub par with bay area.
