I received a call from the recruiter that lasted about 30 minutes. During the call, they asked me several interview questions and then scheduled an interview with the IT Asset Manager. That interview went very well—the manager was professional, knowledgeable, and it turned out to be one of the best interviews I’ve had in years.
The final interview was with the Senior Manager, but it was a very different experience. He arrived looking disheveled, as if he had just finished working out, and seemed distracted and unfocused throughout our conversation.
A week later, I followed up with HR for a status update and received the automated response stating that another candidate had been selected.
