They called me to schedule an interview. When I showed up to the Safeway location, I was told to sit at the Starbucks area and waited for the hiring manager to meet with me. We had the interview in an office that had employees coming in and out which was very distracting. The hiring manager asked me a few questions about my work history and asked about my strengths and weaknesses. The hiring manager then asked me which department I preferred to work, and I told the hiring manager I would be interested in working in the Starbucks department, but was directed to the dot com department of Safeway. I was hired on the spot, and I took the job in hopes of gaining more experience in retail.
