I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Safeway (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2014
Interview
Very easy process, had a interview at 6:45 in the morning *note hiring managers come in at 5 am so they have to schedule it pretty early before they go home or get busy* anyways, it was me and another girl at the same time and she asked us both very basic casual questions like how long have you been in the community, what can you offer to this business, do you understand that being a courtesy clerk is one of most difficult positions and we both said yes, then she starts filling out our information on the computer, then she pulls out these mouth swabs to drug test us... then she basically tells us that we got the job and we go about when we start, how to set up your discount, account and card.. then we went about our days
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
do you understand that being a courtesy clerk is one of the hardest positions, you are expected to be on your feet for 3-4 hours and then you get a break but your basically everyones little assistant..
In store, we sat down and they asked about my previous work experience and a few other questions. One interview and then a training day with computer modules before starting
good and like any other interview but i went during a job fair so it was easier i brought all my docs and then they called me back nice summer job for teen
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Safeway (Pueblo, CO) in Feb 2025
Interview
They ask about your hours and questions like if you can work with people in a team or alone, they also are a union and do weekly pay, it’s a easy interview process at least for me
