I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at SailPoint Technologies in Aug 2022
Interview
This company seems to be very unsure of itself. I went through a long interview process, 6 interviews, and was told all along the journey that I was a perfect fit, they felt that I would be extremely successful there, etc, and that the final interview was just a formality.
I kept following up after the final interview as I always do after any interview. 5 days later I receive a standard email saying that I wasn’t a good fit for the position.
I found out from someone who I know there that they filled the position internally.
Why waste someone’s time through 6 interviews then decide to fill the position with someone who already works there?
Very unprofessional
I had 5 interviews all together with different stakeholders closing with a presentation on the last one. Everybody was well prepared for the interviews. I had discussions with various stakeholders like AE, SE, VP
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I got the usual questions depending on the stakeholders.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at SailPoint Technologies (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2014
Interview
Had several phone interviews with various levels of management advancing to an in person interview with the hiring manager and the VP of sales. As each interview moved further down the process, the scope of the role and the territory defined progressively became smaller and smaller. By the end of the process what started as a multi-state territory in first few interviews was narrowed down to partial state territory.
