I had applied and heard back within a couple of days for a first round interview with the hiring manager and scheduled the interview for their earliest convenience, two weeks out. That interview went well and was very light and conversational. A second round interview virtual panel interview was scheduled for their following week. In that interview, the interviewers were working on other things on a different screen and were not paying attention to the interview unless it was their turn to ask questions. They also asked several questions regarding burnout and made frequent remarks how they prefer to promote from within over external hires, both of which put up red flags for any external candidate. After the interview, there was no communication at all from anyone from Sammons until over a month later when I got the automated HR email. This was even after following up. Overall, the interviewers and HR do a poor job of showing interest towards the candidates.
