Applied and got in touch with a recruiter for a phone interview. Honestly, the person on the phone was pretty dry. Off the bat, I knew that she wasn't interested in what I had to say, my resume, nothing. It was pretty apparent that she has never skimmed over my resume or cover letter. Asked about 2-3 questions about myself and told me a little bit more about Samsara.
It was pretty odd that the recruiter never followed up with questions after I told her about my self. There was an awkward silence because I was waiting for her to ask me another question that never came.
Pretty mediocre experience. Towards the end of the call, I asked her some general questions about the company and their products, which she couldn't answer. The recruiter gave me a general timeline of when I should expect to hear back if I should advance to the next round.
After ending the call, I sent a thank you email, even knowing that I did not get the next interview. Needless to say, I did not get a response back. If this is representative of the work culture at Samsara, I'm glad to have avoided it. Not engaging whatsoever.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Samsara in May 2022
Interview
Samsara has an amazing recruiting team. I had such a positive experience speaking to the recruiter and the managers. I felt so relaxed and at ease during my interview process, The entire time, the questions that I was asked felt like the team wanted to simply get to know me and hear my experience instead of feeling intimidated or being stressed about the next difficult question.
I applied online. I interviewed at Samsara in Sept 2021
