I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (Denver, CO) in Aug 2022
Interview
My experience throughout the interview cycle with Samsara was incredibly positive - possibly one of the best I've ever been a part of (and I've been on a lot of interviews lately!). I was well informed as to who I would be interviewing with and when. Moreover, I was consulted with and coached by the Samsara team to navigate each specific round as they were looking for different competencies throughout the process. The process itself is required a decent amount of preparation, so don't take it lightly. The first two rounds were phone screens with the recruiter and the hiring manager which were relatively simple, but still be prepared to answer as may questions as you can via the STAR format. Then, there was a panel round with cross-departmental stakeholders - everyone was very friendly and warm, but they do ask you questions which will require you to draw from specific experiences in order to answer - expect a combination of hypothetical and situational questions. STAR STAR STAR Lastly, I had to prepare a 15-20 minute presentation./ role play. The exercise was an internal meeting around how I would engage a potential at-risk customer. Overall, it was a challenging process and you'd be lucky to work at Samsara if you get an offer.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to deliver bad news to a customer?
Multiple rounds
It would be weeks in between each one to so took forever, the pay was too low for requiring 6 rounds and a project
company seems to have this attitude that since they are a great place to work candidates should be willing to do multiple rounds of interviews for weeks at a time with no feedback

Question 1
why customer success? how have you handled a difficult customer?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Samsara in Feb 2026
Interview
The director reached out to me directly on LinkedIn and urged me to apply. The interview process was clear. This consisted of a series of two individual interviews and then a mock presentation. All went well, or so I think, I never received any feedback. My negative experience comes from the fact that I never heard from a team member, even with a rejection notice, despite multiple follow-ups.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (Toronto, ON) in May 2025
Interview
Samsara is very efficient and doesn’t waste anyones time on scheduling and following up with interviews. Their team is clearly considerate and even has auto emails asking for feedback on their interview process. Had 5 rounds for their midmarket (scaled) CSM role. Rounds are: phone screening, hiring manager call, call with multiple hiring managers, take home test and review of said test, and final round is with executive leadership.
