The process itself was pretty standard - applied online and received a call from the hiring manager. But a few things felt a little unprofessional. They requested for my availability prior to the call, then completely ignored what I had provided and scheduled my call at an inconvenient time. What was the point of me giving 4-5 time/date options if they were going to ignore it?
The hiring manager also sounded incredibly bored during the call, and it sounded like they did not bother to read my resume before the call. The interviewer also made it a point to tell me that there were a lot of internal candidates and this role was very competitive... okay thank you? if they were already going to pick an internal candidate, then why bother posting a job and wasting my time like that?
I appreciate my resume being considered, but the interviewer definitely felt like they were forced to be there and the call felt like a waste of time
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle a client that does not want to renew the contract because they think it's too expensive?
I first spoke with a recruiter for the screening process, which took about 25 minutes. She was late, but was very nice and provided tips on what they're looking for. She sent a lot of follow up information to prep for the next interview round. I then met with the hiring manager who did a deeper dive into numbers and expectations.
5 rounds in total, 1 with HR, 1 with a Sales Manager, then 3 in 1 day: Manager, Director and another Director. Very low acceptance rate. Must demonstrate growth mindset, specific deal metrics, and a natural drive.
