I applied in-person. I interviewed at Savers (Calgary, AB) in May 2013
Interview
This was a series of questions to look for obvious character flaws, but also general suitability for customer service or the type of sustained attention that production requires. It was one-on-one, & I think there was a supervisor & a manager involved. It was also the easiest interview I have ever had. They needed a lot of people, so I had my choice of production or front-end. Their turn-over is quite high.
It was a smooth process. I just sat down and was asked a couple questions. In addition, I received a tour of the store and the possible stations I was going to work at.
Laid back and easy. They ask the typical interview questions. It goes by quick. They are looking for someone who is a team player. It was one interview and then once hired you watch training videos.
I applied online. I interviewed at Savers (Kelowna, BC)
Interview
I applied in person and then was told that I needed to apply online. I did right away and within the same day I was contacted for an interview the next day. I arrived at the interview and was asked mostly behavioural questions, as to what I would do in such a situation as ...
I then did a second interview on spot with another person who asked the same types of questions but geared more towards what I would like to achieve there i.e. promotions etc.
They then gave me a tour of the work area.
After a few days I received a call that I had been accepted for the job.
