Interview
Interviewed at the Chicago location for a showroom assistant position at the end of June. I was told a decision would be made at the the end of the week, so when I didn’t hear back I assumed another candidate had been selected, no worries. Fast forward two weeks later I get an email indicating that I’m a top candidate and am still being considered and a there may be a potential offer. Then I’m blindsided, the position is no longer full-time and I’’m overqualified. On the bright side, I guess I dodged that bullet. Damage control, please don’t bother responding to this post. Your management team has taken unprofessional to another level.

Interview
After being selected as a candidate, the interview was done via a one-way video with 6 questions.
Which was then submitted to a "Hiring Team", who reviewed the video. It seems they judge you on the answers in their creepy video, not on the creative skills you will be bringing to the company. I never had the chance to show them my portfolio or my designs, which is what they was looking for in the first place. I feel their interview process is flawed and works against them. it would be much simpler to arrange a real Face-to-Face interview, to see a designer and their portfolio, rather that have them record a ridiculous video.
