Near the end of the meeting, the interviewer explicitly asked for my availability for a second-round interview, which led me to believe I was moving forward in the process. However, after that point, communication stopped entirely.
After being passed over, I reached out to the recruitment team to politely request even a brief line of feedback regarding my performance or why I wasn't selected. I received no response.
• So I would say there is a lack of transparency: Asking for second-round availability and then ghosting creates an unprofessional candidate experience.
• Disrespect of time: Candidates share personal data and spend hours preparing; the least a company can do is provide a brief closing statement or feedback when requested.
• Poor communication: Failing to reply to a simple follow-up email reflects poorly on the company’s internal culture and candidate care.
Do better or at least show some respect to candidates! It’s not professional.
