      Accepted offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I interviewed at Scotiabank (Toronto, ON)

      Interview

Interview process was well structured and had multiple rounds. The first round was with the actual team members I would potentially be working with. There were two people in the panel, and the discussion was mainly around technical experience, past projects, problem solving, and team collaboration. After clearing that round, I was invited for an in-person interview at Scotiabank Headquarters. This round also had a two-person panel and focused more deeply on technical discussions, real-world scenarios, communication, and how I approach production issues and stakeholder interactions. Once I cleared the in-person round, there was a final discussion with a senior director. This round was more focused on overall fit, experience, communication, career goals, and leadership mindset. After successfully completing all the rounds, I received the offer.

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2026

      Interview

I had a very disappointing interview experience with a team at Scotiabank. All three interviewers had their cameras off throughout the entire session, yet when I politely asked if I could do the same, I was told to keep mine on. The double standard was striking and unprofessional. It became clear pretty quickly that this wasn't the team and culture I'm looking for.
