I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank (London, England) in Mar 2016
Interview
very difficult process they had unfortunately used for me despite me just applying for an internship, 2 panels used, with 2 interviewers in each. VERY deep long interview process overall. only short and snappy answers will do as they are indeed very much time - restricted if u get what I mean here :(

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Scotiabank
Interview
Pretty straightforward. Interviewers were very nice and questions were mostly behavioural. Technical questions were not overly complex, and tested thought process and ability to think on the spot more than heavy technical knowledge.
The first round was Group coffee chat. It is in a group of 10-12 people. It is virtual. It is semi-formal round just to introduce each other and expalining the further rounds and how internship works in the company.

Question 1
Introduce yourselves and why do you want to work here.
Interview was friendly and thoughtful. There were a combination of screening, behavioural, and some technical questions. Interviewers were kind and made me feel comfortable. They also answered my questions in great detail.
