I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Scotiabank
Interview
very straight forward but apparently it's mandatory to get CFP for this position. Makes zero sense. Fairly easy interview with typical interview questions. Plus typical behavior questions surrounding clients. Overall experience was good, but should clarify requirements at beginning.
Formal , didnt ask many questions asked when can you start.
1 how do you handle objections
2 your weaknesses
3 assigned book of clients
Easy to average questions for an edmonton based role.
I applied in-person. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Calgary, AB) in Sept 2025
Interview
Standard 2 stage process. Recruiter call and in-person interview with the branch management team. The second round usually includes a BM and ABM combo. Although out of the 3 interviews I gave for 3 branches, once they had 3 managers in the second round.
