I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Scotiabank (New York, NY) in Jun 2023
Interview
Two interviews, both went so well! Asked really good and pointed questions, that weren’t your typical “where do you see yourself in five years” kind of fluff. Seemed like a dynamic interesting team who really liked me. Then, they ghosted me. Not a word or a thanks, but no thanks. It’s been two months with zero update.

Question 1
Asked for my perspective on industry trends and recent headlines.
Really friendly call with someone from HR. Nothing too complex but they have a keen interest on key accomplishments and team work. They will get back to you with an update making you feel optimistic, but then a generic decline letter is provided several weeks later.

Question 1
What was your typical work load and how did you find it (challenging, rewarding etc).
The entire procedure is remarkably swift, taking a mere two weeks from the initial stage all the way to the final completion. You can expect a rapid turnaround, where every step in the process unfolds efficiently and effectively within this short timeframe
Interviewer was kind, asked some tough questions, but I think he had a specific candidate in mind. The issue was more that he specifically said, "We don't like to leave candidates hanging, so you'll hear from us soon."
That's fine - but HR never followed up, and despite my reaching out, twice, to the personal email of the HR professional managing this, she never responded. Just very unprofessional - people commit time and energy to interviews. If it's a no, you should communicate that.
