I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scott Brownrigg in Jul 2021
Interview
Professionally led face to face interview involving portfolio review and general questions about interests, ambitions and software. Approachable management. Felt comfortable and listened to. The office was nice and characterful.
I applied online. I interviewed at Scott Brownrigg (Guildford, England) in Jun 2018
Interview
The interview process was straightforward, I had a relaxed interview. The two associates who interviewed me were great to speak with and we had an informal chat that seemed quite promising. They had to ask a few generic questions at the end, just to tick boxes. Personally I would get rid of the generic questions from the interview stage as it makes the company also seem generic compared to other leading practices. It was disappointing to have to answer these questions. Architectural work is a process so the style of an informal interview, having a conversation etc, best suits this sector.
What was even more disappointing was having travelled and taken the time to attend the interview, the HR team did not get back to me about whether I was successful/unsuccessful. After I chased them up to find out the outcome I was told I should get a reply the following week. Still nothing and it’s been 4 months now.
Thumbs down for not having the decency to get back to interviewees.
