Find the job online, and submitted application online. Got an email a week later for a phone screen, and did so. I was very excited for the feedback from HR regards to my work experience and education, which seemed like a great match. I was able to find some current employees from the department through LinkedIn. I had similar work experience (position and years) with most of them, and my education is higher. Couple days later, I was very surprised to see an email saying that I was not a match, because I certainly got enough work experience to handle the work (only applied a junior level position), plus, a higher education than most of the current employees (senior level). But later, I realized it was not my fault at all, because I was not only dealing with the skills they requested, but also the insecurity from the management. Luckily, I got other options. Sometimes, if a company cannot hire people with good qualifications, HR should consider if the hiring manager has a big heart.
