I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Sears in Jan 2016
Interview
Interview was scheduled for 2pm, I arrived at 1:45pm. Lots of commotion by office staff, they asked my name, who sent me &were obviously unprepared for my interview. After waiting about 20 min. Office woman said aloud, they hired someone. So 10 mins later Mgr went thru motions of asking about 5 questions and said he'd let me know in a few days. I was pleasant thru the whole thing and processional. I got a email from recruiter next day saying position was filled. You don't say!
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Sears (Woodbridge, NJ) in Oct 2019
Interview
I showed up for my interview on time and was told the position was already filled. Manager acted like she wasn't expecting me. No one even bothered to call or email me within the entire week that the position was already filled. So ridiculous. I don't recommend applying, this company is dying anyway.
The interview process was straight forward. They just asked me on my availability. What I noticed why other interviewees did not get my Jon after they did an interview was because they just wore casual clothing to the interview. Try to look nice, business casual.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Sears (Modesto, CA) in Jun 2018
Interview
You have your initial interview with an Assistant Manager, then a second with another Manager or Lead before having your final (likely group) interview with the Store Manager. I had my first and second interview in the same day, so the process was a bit quicker for me, but it was pretty cut and dry.
Interview questions [1]
