I expressed urgency, as I was in close talks with another company. They took this as some sort of excuse to dismiss me from the process. I was offered "best of luck", while I never removed myself from consideration. I was never formally rejected either. This was incredibly frustrating, and I thought it showed an egregious lack of professionalism. I urge Seismic to be more forthright with their candidates, and to possibly hire HR professionals who know the right way to handle these situations.
