I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Select Medical (Springfield, MO) in Apr 2015
Interview
Applied online and was contacted by a recruiter and had a phone interview. Then was contacted by the HR Director for another phone interview, and then was scheduled for an in-person interview. Was informed that I would be interviewing with 3 people - the CEO, CNO and Director of Operations. When I arrived for my interview, I was told by the CEO that the CNO would not be able to meet with me because she was scheduled for a recruiting event during my interview time. Was also informed by the CEO that 3 people were sent to him from the HR Director to interview and that they would all interview with the CNO. After interviewing with the CEO, had an interview with the Director of Operations and another Director that was filling in for the CNO. The Director of Operations told me that this position works very closely with the CNO and that it would be important to visit with her as well. Was given a tour of the facility and interview ended.
I was never contacted to reschedule with the CNO. I had reached out twice to the recruiter and had not heard anything back.
Working in Human Resources, two things are of concern to me:
1. Interview rounds need to be consistent with who is interviewing. I found it inconsistent that the other two candidates got to interview with the CNO, while I did not, especially since my interview was scheduled with the CNO was out of the office at a recruiting event, and I was not called back to reschedule for consistent sake.
2. Seeing as it has been a few weeks since my interview, I can only assume another candidate was selected. But no automated email was sent, or a phone call from either the recruiter or the HR Director of such.
Human Resources is about providing customer service to all stakeholders, including applicants. With my experience in HR, I pride myself on providing that customer service to every applicant and person I have interviewed - making sure that the interview process is both consistent, and if they are not selected for the position that they are notified.
My interview experience with Select Medical was very dissatisfying.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Select Medical
Interview
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter. Had a brief conversation with her and was scheduled for an in-person interview. Was interviewed by two people, mostly behavior-based questions, given a tour, and told I would be contacted the next week after all interviews were finished. I never heard back from them again, not even a canned rejection email. I think this is incredibly rude, it is a basic courtesy to hear back (good or bad).

Question 1
Tell me about a time when...:insert basic scenario here.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Select Medical (Hattiesburg, MS) in Sept 2015
Interview
Applied online. Received a phone call from Mary who is one of the recruiters. The phone screen/interview went fairly well, or so I thought. I was told that she would be getting back to me by the end of following week. I sent a follow up email the week after the interview thanking her for speaking with me and expressed my desire to work with them. A week later I did not receive a call back as I was told I would but received the dreaded "thanks but no thanks" email. It was a bit impersonal, but hey at least I knew where I stood.
