Recruiter screening was fairly pleasant. Had a follow-up interview with the engineering manager. There was no technical challenge for some reason; instead he asked a bunch of theoretical questions which I thought was strange. He was not very friendly and our personalities were clearly a mismatch. I also got ghosted by this company. Pro tip: it takes literally 30 seconds to send a rejection email. If you're thinking about wasting a candidate's time, just don't. Companies like you are a dime a dozen; you're not above following up with applicants.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Selfbook in Apr 2022
Interview
GOT GHOSTED IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS. Applied through LinkedIn, received an initial screening phone call then they scheduled a zoom meeting with the senior developer. They did not tell me what they would go over the interview. The interviewer also talked for 99% of the time and gave me zero chance to get to know me as a person and understand my skills.
