Very thorough. You go through at least 3-4 interviews with different managers and execs. Phone interviews with execs across the country.
No matter what position you apply for you must have 2years experience in customer service/retail.
This is a values based company and if you are not customer service driven and passionate you will not get thru.

Interview
The interview will be with a DLPM. Then if you make it to a secondary interview it will be with a Store Director. Once you get to the secondary interview you're basically guaranteed the job. The interviewer will ask you about your experience in the field. Sephora prides themselves on looking for people with good communication skills. Prove to the interviewer that you are a person of action and you won't have a problem getting a job.
