I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Richmond, BC) in May 2017
Interview
Phone interview, group interview, demo, and interview with assistant manager. Everything was quick until after the last interview. They didn't get back to me when they said they would and I had to call back only for them to tell me briefly I didn't get the job with no explanation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Where do you see yourself in 2-5 years? What makes Sephora a unique shopping experience? Tell me about a time where you went above and beyond for a customer.
Friendly, lots of question and hypothetical situations in regards to customer service. Makeup portfolio was appreciated. Focus is on product knowledge and friendliness. Asked about retail background, what trainings I would be interested in. Also how hard I am willing to work to move up into a management position. Also my timeline I expect to management.
