The interview started well but ended on a disappointing note. I passed the first two stages: an introductory call with a friendly and experienced talent acquisition specialist, followed by a technical interview with the team lead—who seemed underappreciated but was impressed with my skills and assigned me a take-home project, which I completed successfully.
The third stage with a single senior manager was a very different experience. It began as a Zoom call, contrary to what is stated on the LEAP (parent company) website. He ignored the any feedback from the earlier stages, conducted the interview in an interrogation style, and seemed sceptical of everything I said. He also lacked proper interviewing experience and came across as a micromanager. Ironically, I was told my background lacked experience in large teams, yet their team has fewer than 12 people.
