I applied online. I interviewed at Shindig Company
Interview
This was by far the most unprofessional interview I have ever had in my life. I met directly with the CEO, who showed up late. After 5 minutes, I called him asking if we were still on (per the invite instructions) and he then joined me on the platform to meet.
I work for a similar company currently, and it became clear within a minute that he was more interested in gathering competitive intelligence than wanting to interview me for the role.
He hammered on asking me why other people had left my current company when I mentioned turnover. (I said I cannot answer that.)
He asked me how much money I make there. (Illegal to ask in the state of Massachusetts, where I reside.) When I didn't answer him, he revised the question to how much I was looking to earn.
He told me he felt my current company was "infringing on his patents". I didn't respond. He asked me if he should take my company more seriously. I said I couldn't respond.
Very few questions were actually about me and my work, and as soon as I answered, he would pivot back to another inappropriate question or comment about my current company.
I am beyond disgusted.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Shindig Company (New York, NY) in Nov 2017
Interview
Interview was all over the place. More focused on sales/business development than marketing.
I met with the CEO the day after applying online for the job. Sent a thank you letter, and followed up twice. Never heard back from the CEO. All it takes is a quick email to say "no thanks, we are moving on". No response after 6 weeks.
