After submitting my resume online. I received a call to schedule a phone screen. The phone screen consisted of very generic questions to get a feel if you had the skills for the position. A few days later I was called to schedule an 1-on-1 interview with the HR director. The 1-on-1 interview consisted of the HR director explaining how he felt this position would work explaining the culture of the company. He focused so much on how great and different the culture was at Shinola, that he didn't ask that many questions.
This was a new position for company. They had posted the position in January of 2015, I applied and received an email in February saying they were delaying hiring for the position. The position was again posted in March of 2015 and I applied again. It really didn't seem like they had a clear grasp on what exactly how this position would fit in with the existing HR team.
