The final interview process was shockingly unprofessional: I received a schedule with 5 overlapping blocks which were supposed to represent 5 distinct interviews (plus a break). I tried twice to get clarity on the blocks as well as the focus of each interview (coding? projects? deep dive?) and received none. The one coding interview was conducted in a Google doc. At the end of the last interview, I was in the middle of asking questions and was kicked off the line because another set of interviewers/interviewees had arrived. Despite spending 5 hours on the final interview, I never received a response of any kind (“ghosted!”) from Shipt - something that’s never happened to me before. The recruiter won’t return my calls or emails. Even if my interview performance had been abysmal, this is no way to treat a candidate and reflects severe organizational/growth issues.
