I went through a lengthy interview process with Shipt. one recruiter call, one hiring manager interview, and four Zoom interviews for the onsite. In total, I completed six interviews over the course of about a month. During this time, the recruiter only responded to my emails if they were about scheduling; there was no reply to any other questions. The interviewers themselves were just average—neither great nor terrible—so there's not much to say about them.
After my final panel interview, I sent a professional follow-up email to the recruiter after three days and another one to the hiring manager after four days. No one replied. I could understand being ghosted after an initial phone screen, but being ghosted after the final panel interview? It’s frustrating. Throughout the process, I treated everyone with respect, but it felt like I was treated as an afterthought.
Even if a candidate isn't moving forward, a company should at least send a short email through the ATS or a direct message saying, "We will not be moving forward with you." It's a basic courtesy and shows some level of respect. My experience with Shipt was very disappointing.
