Phone screen, then small interview process. Pretty normal stuff. They also emailed me to fill out an activity packet, which was helpful and actually kind of fun to do. After the email packed, which was an essay-sh type of activity, the process was finished.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shmoop (Scottsdale, AZ) in May 2019
Interview
The interview experience was exciting - every member of the team I interviewed felt like a 2-way conversation. I left each interview knowing precisely what the expectations of the role are, the company values and how my role contributes to the organization's mission. 3 interviews total, including a mock sale. Exciting times ahead for the company

Question 1
Asked about what motivates me. My passion. Why Shmoop.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Shmoop (Mountain View, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
Completed an online application with cover letter and received an email asking me to take a writing test. Spent hours completing the deeply involved writing test, which included prompts to produce two original writing samples and some proofreading questions and an editing test. Earned a phone interview with an editor, which was very pleasant. She let me know that the CEO would get in touch with me for another interview. Months later, I have not heard from the CEO, even after checking in with the editor I interviewed with. Overall, I feel like I invested several hours of my time investigating the Shmoop style of writing, producing some great work in that signature style for the writing test, and putting a lot of thought and care into my editing test, for an interview process that wasn’t taken seriously by the employer.
