I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ShopBack (Sydney)
Interview
This role was advertised as Entry Level and expected to have related experiences within Account Management already. The questions asked by HR seem to be very structured and need to know Shopback well. This leads to one of my ultimate questions to the company- don't you provide training about your product? Secondly, two irrelevant questions that don't seem to give a purpose - "What is your current salary?" and "What is your salary expectations and how did you get to the number?". (I supposed if the company doesn't have a budget, at least minimal industry rate, why are you hiring? You are wasting job posting efforts and applicants time.) Thirdly, this role wasn't advertised with a salary range and during the interview, it wasn't mentioned neither after asking the applicant. Overall, this round of interview with Shopback hasn't left me a very good impression- either not willing to provide an opportunity to someone from a different background or has minimal transparency. Shopback needs to be open-minded to allow growth and inputs from people who may not have the same background experience but able to showcase strengths, culture-fit, align with values, transferrable skillset to get things done for the role they are applying for. No one will be ever be '100% right fit' for the job description. This job ad is still available until today.

Interview
Overall it takes less than 2 weeks for the whole interview process and it is quite smooth
1st round: HR Screening interview
2nd round: Case Study
3th round: Presentation and Hiring Manager Interview
I applied online. I interviewed at ShopBack (Taipei) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview was held online, first with HR and another with hiring manager. Most questions are easy and just some behavioral questions. The company is still figuring out their business model.
