The interview process started with the HR scheduling a 40-50 min screening with the technical manager and hiring manager. The problem was they were looking for a very unique blend of an embedded developer and a UX designer which I feel is very hard to find. A person can be super strong in either one the area and have a fair bit of understanding about the other one. All technical questions were mostly based on embedded programming fundamentals while no UX questions were asked. My advice would be to clarify the job description and avoid using the word UX because they really wanted a strong developer. Also would request the interviewers to dig into the candidates profile (resume, portfolio) to know more about them before the call.
