Applied on LinkedIn, afterwards got an email from the Founder with a link to a questionnaire. Way too many questions, some I find to be not so practical as preliminary screening - like specifically wanting to know in detail why I left my previous job or wanting to leave my current job; what are the shortcomings of my previous/current manager; and funny enough asking for their name and contact afterwards - not sure why but potentially to follow up with them? If so, that's just silly after literally asking me to list down their flaws.
Besides the written part, we're also required to record ourselves answering a couple of questions. Despite this much effort put in, not a single follow-up from them afterwards. And what's interesting is nearly every week I'm seeing the same job role being freshly posted in a new job ad multiple times.
Heard of many small companies doing this for the sake of publicity rather than actual hiring. Of course this is speculation but the fact the Founder himself keeps bragging on his LinkedIn about how progressive his start-up is with their forward-thinking mindset and work culture yet they're not bothered to acknowledge candidates who spent so much time and effort fulfilling their ridiculous screening process. Not to mention the constant new posting of similar roles on LinkedIn just seems fishy.
