The process took 6 weeks - I went through a recruiter who helped me get an interview with the SVB recruiter within days. She was very nice, passed me along to the hiring manager whom I spoke to the following week. Hiring manager asked a bunch of behavioral/technical questions, liked me and had another audit manager speak to me the following week. This time, the audit manager asked quite a few audit-specific questions and about my areas of expertise, he was searching for a lot more details than the hiring manager did in the call the week before. After the call, within 2-3 days, I was scheduled for an onsite interview with the audit team panel - 4 people (head of audit, 3 managers); I thought I had done very well because I answered all the questions to the best of my ability and from reading the looks and body language of the interviewers, they were pleased with my responses. After the onsite interview, for 1.5 weeks there was a lull...no correspondence or reaching out whatsoever. I kept checking in with my recruiter to see whats going on, before finding out that the bank wanted to schedule yet another interview with the HR Director. After having that call, I was starting to think I will be getting an offer soon since I had five different rounds of interviews which my recruiter said is always a sign indicating they liked the candidate and will most likely extend an offer. Well...an entire week went by without hearing any feedback from the bank. When my recruiter finally reached out to them to ask whats going on, the bank came back with "We are undecided". I mean, what? Did I miss something? It was extremely off-putting. The process is too questionable and unclear. Now, even if they do consider me in the future, I no longer am interested.
