Set up an interview via a network connection to the CEO. Scheduled a phone interview a week or so later with a few folks (none were the CEO) who were either not having a great day or apparently unfamiliar with how to conduct an interview (very unorganized, background giggling/conversations, etc.). We walked through my experience, I was interrupted a few times and was eventually told I didn't have enough apps development experience to be a product manager with their organization... this was interesting because at the time my company's apps, which I had direct, daily impact in designing and getting developed, were yielding over 10mm monthly PVs and 500-2k+ downloads per day so if that wasn't "enough" I'm not sure what they were looking for. I was so baffled by the whole experience, after we hung up I never even considered following up. I noticed the posting for the role turn back up on the job boards a few more times months later.
