      Trader/Analyst Interview

      2 Apr 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Sionna in Jun 2017

      Interview

The interview process is very long and I believe its portfolio managers are very biased when interviewing candidates (in the 2nd interview). The first interview was harder than the second one but the interviewers really cared about asking questions (head of operation and analyst ). I enjoyed the 1st interview. In the second interview a portfolio manager was totally mute. I don’t understand why. It is like he didn’t want me in the interview at all

      Interview questions [5]

      Question 1

General questions about your “assigment” . When you pass a first interview they give you an assigment of Max 10 pages researching a company (public stocks). In my second interview, the portfolio manager never asked a question, his attitude was really discouraging, something like he never wanted to interview me . The bad part is that I spent a big chunk of my summer researching (fundamental analysis ) about that stock and these guys seemed that already have decided I wasn’t a good fit , and I think my research was excellent , many people told me that; of course Sionna never recognize it , they just got a free profesional research from me. Sionna is not worth it . Stay away
