Over 1 1/2 months, after multiple phone interviews, had to complete a large homework assignment that took several days to complete learning to use Skytap. Had to present my work, critiques, bugs that I found, etc. to a group of 7-8 people. I completed the assignment except where I found bugs, poor documentation, etc.. They got a weeks worth of QA work for free, probably from a lot of other applicants too. After all that, they never followed with my status.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Skytap
Interview
Initial phone screen with recruiter. A few days later, I had a call with the hiring manager. After my call with the hiring manager, I was asked to complete a technical validation exercise.
I completed the exercise and then presented my work to most of the Support Team + hiring manager.
As a last step, I received feedback on my work and then came the offer.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skytap (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2017
Interview
First had a 30 minute conversation with the hiring manager. Then I was given 5 exercises to complete in the Skytap environment. After, I was brought in for a face-to-face interview with the team.
I must admit, the interview process / presentation seemed to go well. When I received the rejection letter, I was surprised.
