      Territory Manager Interview

      16 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Slice (New York, NY) in Oct 2025

      Interview

Three rounds of interviews. I spoke with a UK-based recruiter who was incredibly helpful, engaging, and knowledgeable. We had almost-daily calls on which he coached me through the process. The final interview is when the whole thing fell apart. I had to create a sales presentation for a prospective new customer. I spent a week researching their product, and developed an expert-level knowledge of Slice's offerings. I nailed the presentation. The head of sales asked why I was leaving my current company. I told her it was disorganized and the product was subpar. She told me that Slice is also disorganized and has a subpar product. I was flabbergasted to hear a sales director admit this about their own company. In the post mortem call with the recruiter, he confirmed this was the thing that sunk me. This is a wholly illegitimate company with an illegitimate business philosophy. They forced me to do a bunch of free labor and then refused to hire me for reasons that made absolutely no sense.

      Territory Manager Interview

      12 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Wheaton, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Slice (Wheaton, IL)

      Interview

I applied for Territory Manager online a few months ago. Initially I was set up for an interview that got cancelled 30 minutes prior to the meeting because the position was filled. Fast forward 1 month and I was informed the position reopened if I had interest. I had an initial meeting with the recruiter who gave me a good feeling about the position. I found out it was reopened because the previous candidate retracted their acceptance the week before starting which all makes sense now. The first meeting with the recruiter was the last I have to date heard from him after the Head recruiter took over scheduling. With the extreme lack of communication “looping in” my recruiter to my still unanswered questions left me in the dark guessing what I needed to do to succeed. No prompts or expectations were ever disclosed so I believe I was set up for failure. The interview with the Chief of Staffing went well and she was very pleasant. That may be the only good part to this. The final interview with the head of sales felt like I was wasting their time from the very beginning. It was the most unprofessional and condescending experience I have ever encountered. This interview was filled with dirty looks when honest answers did not meet their expectations and belittling comments about my current career. As expected the recruiter didn’t even reach out with reasons why I wasn’t offered the position. Instead I received a generic no-reply email. It was no surprise to have received this declination after I lost all confidence in the company during the final interview.
