Surprised to hear the negative reviews about the interview process - I thought it was a pretty straightforward and intuitive ordeal! The atmosphere is very laid-back/casual, so it's a great environment for someone who is naturally conversational. There were a few of your typical interview questions about past jobs, what you liked/didn't like, etc. but the bulk of the questions are set up in a way that helps your personality shine through; in my opinion, it's refreshing to see a company like SlideBelts put a premium on personality and cultural fit so early in the interview process. Courtney, the HR manager, was very open and willing to answer my questions, some of which were pretty tough for someone put on the spot. All in all, it felt more like a conversation between peers rather than the shameless grill sessions that interviews tend to devolve into, and it speaks volumes about the company culture you'll find at SlideBelts.
To be honest, I'm not sure if I got the job just yet (I received an email saying I should hear from them within a week), but I truly believe that the results of an interview should have no bearing on the actual interview process itself. For my type of personality, this was a fun, engaging experience, and I'm of the opinion that more interviews should be held this way. Good stuff!
