      I interviewed at Smalls

      Interview

An excessive number of interview rounds (something like 5 or 6), but I only got through 4. For me, the last of which was a presentation for the take home that they required. Why would this ever be necessary for a staff accountant role? One of the interviewers was unprepared and rude on that call. I had to follow up with the recruiter several times for any sort of feedback. When I did hear back, it wasn’t a good fit for reasons they couldn’t even clarify. They said they’d compensate (no amount stated?) for the take home assignment but then completely “forgot” about that after they decided not to move forward. I brought it up to them out of principle. I don’t care to give them my banking information for what was probably $20. But you’re dragging out this interview process and selling a dream, just to be avoidant and weird.
