      Lead Software Engineer Interview

      Application

I interviewed at Snapsheet in May 2026

      Interview

The recruiting process felt more focused on building a broad candidate pipeline than conducting an earnest evaluation for a specific role. There was no clearly defined team or position discussed, and the conversation remained fairly generic throughout. I was asked to repeat information already available on my resume and in my application, and little effort was made to discuss my specific experience or qualifications. Additionally, I was asked to provide another copy of my resume despite already submitting one with my application. After about four days, I received a standard rejection email citing “candidate alignment.” Greater clarity around specific openings and expectations upfront would have made the process more meaningful and a better use of time.
