The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sogeti in Apr 2011
Interview
Interview Consisted of 2 phases:
- 1:1 interview with recruiter
This was a standard "do you have the right background and personality to bring you in for a real interview?" interview. Very brief and an in-office interview was scheduled for the next week. I was told that they prefer to complete the rest of the interview process in a half-day interview, on-site, so we set that up.
- In-office interview with Client lead, technical lead, and practice lead
Met with 2 technical people and one sales person. Technical questions were more in terms of "describe an application you've written" rather than "What class is the Transaction object a member of?". In other words, they'd rather you understand application architecture than be able to memorize the .NET library.
Everyone was very courteous and the experience was very positive.
A few days after the in-office interview, I received an offer. I ended up finding a better offer, but Sogeti was an extremely close 2nd. If it was the only offer I received, I would have accepted it in a heartbeat.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Describe the architecture of an application you've written
The interview process was straight forward and simple. It started with an introductory call and then the first-round interview, followed by an interview with a couple seniors from your potential team.
